We bring to your notice a new RBI (Reserve Bank of India) mandate that will take effect from 1st November, 2009. All debit and credit card holders in India must have an ?extra level of authentication? to be able to transact online using their cards. The objective of this mandate is to make online transactions safe and secure.
This authentication is basically a password that you will have to enter after entering your credit/debit card details while making online payments. This password needs to be created by you at your card issuing bank website. You can create the password anytime that you desire. It hardly takes a few seconds. You can follow the bank links provided here.
NOTEIn case your Bank is not listed here, we recommend you contact them regarding details on this.
